There is something magical about a Baltimore summer evening on the waterfront.

The breeze coming off the harbor. Music floating through the air before you even reach the entrance. Friends carrying lawn chairs and blankets. Dogs trotting beside their humans. The skyline glowing as the sun begins its slow descent.

That's the energy that greeted us at WTMD First Thursday Festival at Canton Waterfront Park.

As one of Baltimore's largest outdoor music festivals, WTMD First Thursday has become a summer tradition for thousands of locals who gather each month to celebrate music, community, and everything that makes Baltimore special.

And this month, Intentionally Linked Jewelry was honored to be part of it.

A Night on the Baltimore Waterfront

Located along Boston Street in Canton, Canton Waterfront Park offers one of the most beautiful backdrops in the city.

By early evening, the park was already alive with energy. Families spread out picnic blankets. Couples wandered through vendor tents. Groups of friends claimed their favorite spots near the stage.

The atmosphere felt effortless.

No one was rushing.

People were simply enjoying being together.

And that's often when permanent jewelry shines brightest.

The Permanent Jewelry Experience

Throughout the evening, guests stopped by to explore custom-fit permanent bracelets, anklets, and necklaces.

Some arrived knowing exactly what they wanted.

Others discovered permanent jewelry for the first time.

Many were immediately drawn to our signature mixed-metal Italian chains, while others gravitated toward classic sterling silver and 14k gold-filled styles.

Each piece was custom fitted and welded on-site, creating a seamless bracelet, anklet, or necklace designed to move through everyday life with them.

One of the things I love most about these events is watching people choose meaning.

Sometimes it's a friendship bracelet.

Sometimes it's a reminder of a season they're moving through.

Sometimes it's simply because they fell in love with a chain.

There is no wrong reason.

Why Festival Guests Love Permanent Jewelry

Music festivals create memories.

Permanent jewelry gives those memories something tangible.

Throughout the evening, I watched friends encourage each other to get linked together. Sisters debated chain choices. Couples compared styles.

The conversations are always my favorite part.

It starts with jewelry.

It almost always becomes a story.

Where they're from.

What they're celebrating.

Why they chose that particular chain.

What brought them to the festival that day.

These small moments are what make local events feel so meaningful.

Community Through Small Businesses

WTMD First Thursday is more than a concert.

It's a gathering place.

One of the reasons I continue to invest in local festivals is because they bring together so many incredible Baltimore businesses, artists, musicians, and makers.

Every vendor tent tells a story.

Every small business owner has taken a leap of faith.

Every attendee is choosing to support local.

That's what makes events like this so powerful.

They strengthen the fabric of our city.

Why Canton Waterfront Park Is One of Baltimore's Best Event Spaces

If you've never attended a WTMD First Thursday, add it to your Baltimore summer bucket list.

The combination of live music, waterfront views, local vendors, food, and community creates an experience that feels uniquely Baltimore.

Whether you're visiting Canton for the first time or you've attended every year, it's the kind of event that reminds you why people love this city.
